"Value for the money!"
      - Jane Sotto, CPA - Northridge Equipment Rentals

This course is designed to meet the A & A needs of smaller firm practitioners. Keep abreast of other changes that impact the profession not the least of which is California's new peer review requirement. We will discuss the latest A & A pronouncements as well as significant pending changes to accounting and auditing standards. Even those general practitioners who do not perform audits are sure to find certain audit issues to be of interest as related to their compilation and review engagements. Topics to be covered include:

  • Are you prepared for California's new peer review requirement?

  • Review selected recent changes in SSARS (including new SSARS no. 19), SAS, and FASB standards

  • Independence issues of Interpretation 101-3

  • California Board of Accountancy updates

  • Re-drafted Risk Assessment Audit Standards
