"WOW! Extremely knowledgeable in the field. We got much more than what we paid for... thanks."
  - Maria Curiel, Rosenthal, Pearson, Fong & Frew, LLP

CPAs in today’s business environment are called upon to apply their professional skills in the legal arena more and more frequently. This seminar will familiarize you with judicial terminology and procedures. There will be an overview of the concepts relating to evidence as applicable to forensic accounting.

We will examine the differences between:

  • civil procedures,
  • criminal proceedings,
  • administrative proceedings and
  • alternative dispute resolution.

Your professional and ethical responsibilities as well as the admissibility of expert opinions will be presented. The discussion will include gaining an understanding of the professional liability specific to the forensic accountant.

Our coverage will delve into the realm of forensic data recovery of evidence along with investigation and interviewing techniques. We will take a look into the world of fraud as it concerns forensic accounting and the role of the forensic accountant as it relates to valuations.

Very importantly, this course will provide the techniques to prepare you for testifying at trial. We will lead you through preparing your counsel and how to be an effective witness during direct as well as cross examination testimony.
