"Seid's presentation skills made the day a blast!"
      - Fred Szkolnik, CPA - Sole Practitioner

This seminar features discussions of the latest Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services including SSARS 8 that provides for management-use only compiled statements and the "Applicability of SSARS 1 When Performing Controllership or Other Management Services." New topics recently added include peer review requirements for compilations and review engagements and the State Board of Accountancy's rules regarding the adequacy and retention of workpapers. Traditional areas of practice are covered including:

  • Step-by-step through an entire C&R engagement
  • Independence requirements
  • GAAP financial statements
  • Analytical procedures
  • Disclosure requirements and what to do when substantially all disclosures have been omitted

Required report language is reviewed:

  • What to do when there is a change in the level of service
  • Communicating with the predecessor accountant
  • Technical practice aids issued by the AICPA

This course shows you how to turn additional engagements into opportunities for practice growth. Through interactive discussions and networking, you'll find out what your peers are doing, which will enable you to stay current and competitive in this highly profitable area.
